This artefact is a 6th Grade (Primary Education) CLIL unit plan for Physical Education subject that consists of a variety of activities, tasks and assessments used to measure the psychomotor domain, the cognitive domain, and the affective domain. The psychomotor domain is to be assessed by teacher observation and a skills checklist that addresses the 3 aspects of game performance- skill execution, support, and decision-making. The cognitive domain will be assessed during question and answer sessions, interactive activities and by using exit slips. The affective domain will be assessed by a final self-assessment checklist to be done at the end of the unit. All assessments are documented within the block plan and assessment plan and align with the terminal unit goals for physical education.
This CLIL unit has 8 lessons (2 per week) and its learning outcomes are the following:
- To acknowledge the game rules and history
- To discover the proper techniques for performing handball elements: overhead, bounce & pronation pass, while stationary & in motion.
- To distinguish the different kinds of shots: shoulder shot, underhand shot, jump shot, wing shot and fall shot
- To relate / apply these skills to / in a game situation
The Unit Subject content is the following:
- Handball and Mini-Handball game rules
- Techniques elements and its characteristics: catching the ball, passing, shooting, dribbling, feint movements, offensive and defensive movement, goalkeeper’s technique
- Handball History
- Handball competition

All the key competence and language skills will be developed during the lessons. The Final Task is the Handball School League and at the end, students are going to make a comic writing on the bubbles drawn below the pictures that had been taken from the School League matches.
