This game is basically like
"baseball".
Players are divided into two teams. The
team that will kick the ball will stand at the exit point and the other team is distributed on the playground, leaving one player on a
circle drawn on the ground in front of the exit point.
This player (the “pichi”) will pass
the ball rolling on the ground to an opponent player who will try to kick it. If
he succeeded, he will begin to run trying to pass through all the bases (hoops)
one by one before the ball has been picked up by the opposing team and reach
the central player (the “pichi”).
The player who kicks the ball can
stop at any bases (hoops) and can resume the race when the ball is kicked by
another player from his own team. Runners cannot overtake other racing player
position or occupy two the same position (hoop), nor can they go back.
The situations when the players are
eliminated:
If a player misses three shots (strikes).
If a running player is hit by the
ball thrown by an opponent.
If the ball reaches the centre
circle and the player is between two positions (hoops).
Races are recorded and an eliminated
player can be "saved" if a certain number of runs are accumulated (three
or five). When a player makes a full race in his ball, this race is counted like
three and can "save" another player.
When after a kick, the ball is
caught on the fly (before it bounces), the teams switch the turn of attack. Also
they switch turns when all players of the attacking team have been eliminated.
The game ends when players of both
teams have been eliminated or when the PE class is ended, and then both team races
are counted to see who wins.
